French parent company Bollore Group to solve the short-term car rental service
problem faced by Singaporeans. Before their entry to the market, often people
must endure the packaged car rental service provided by traditional car rental
services, which is renting the car for the entire weekend even though only a
short rental is needed. The main attraction to this service is that high
quality rental cars can be picked up from and returned at any nearby charging
stations across its ever-growing, nation-wide network of charging stations. The
‘Bluecars’ Bluesg provide are equipped with their Unique LMP (Lithium Metal
Polymer) Batteries which are fully recyclable and manufactured by Bollore
Group. (Bluesg.com.sg, 2020) These long-lasting batteries allow the car to
travel for up to 200km on a single charge.</span><span style="color: black;"> </span><span style="font-family: "Cambria",serif; font-size: 12.0pt;">The LMP batteries consists
of thin films of materials, holding the high-density charges while still being
safe for consumer use. Another feature of the batteries is that they are
completely pollution free and can be reused or recycled at the end of their
lives. The ‘Bluecar’s on-board computer handles GPS navigation, user interface
for simple controls (changing radio stations, carpark reservation) and system
status reporting to server. (Remaining mileage, battery temperature, system
errors, etc.) ‘Bluecar’ did not neglect the safety of its passengers despite
the comfort and spacious interior. There is ABS braking system for rainy
weather, airbags for the front two passengers, power-steering and sensors to
provide audible warning to pedestrians. The backseats take three passengers and
can be folded down for more storage. Child-seats can be mounted with the compatible
ISOFIX mount. In case of breakdown or emergency, there is a ‘BLUE’ button to connect
to the ‘Bluesg’’s call-centre via the communication system in the car to get
assistance. This simple but feature-packed electric car gives patrons the
confidence they needed.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 18.0pt; margin-bottom: 6.0pt; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;"><span style="font-family: "Cambria",serif; font-size: 12.0pt;">I
have found the service to be extremely convenient and reliable when I need to
perform several errands in a jiffy. There is a charging station near my home,
which allows me to book my “Bluecar” and I can be on the road in under 10mins. In
a recent incident, the rental status did not change to “parked” in the app
after parking my car. However, the issue was resolved quickly by calling the
‘Bluesg’ call-centre and their friendly and helpful customer service agent was
patient in resolving my case.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="-webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; font-variant-caps: normal; font-variant-ligatures: normal; line-height: 18.0pt; margin-bottom: 6.0pt; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; orphans: 2; text-decoration-color: initial; text-decoration-style: initial; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px;"><span style="font-family: "Cambria",serif; font-size: 12.0pt;">Besides providing car rental service,
‘Bluesg’ also allows private electric car owners to recharge their cars at
their charging stations for a fee. (Neo, 2019) This is encouraging to electric
car owners since it will be easier to look for charging stations. The rapid
increase in subscribers in recent years has led to the one millionth rental service
in August this year. (Straits Times, 2020) This means that ‘Bluesg’ is heading
in the right direction and will likely see even more subscribers in the coming
years, as more prospective car owners will look to greener and more affordable
solutions as owning a car in Singapore is quite costly. Renting short term makes
more sense. Over the years, ‘Bluesg’ has revised its price plans and features
in its car-rental app. Their basic plan is as low as $8 per month without usage
limit, and other premium plans include 45minutes of usage. ‘Queue-pop’ feature
in the app will place the user in a virtual queue when either a car or parking
space is not available. The user will be notified when their turn is up,
reducing user anxiety.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="-webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; font-variant-caps: normal; font-variant-ligatures: normal; line-height: 18.0pt; margin-bottom: 6.0pt; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; orphans: 2; text-decoration-color: initial; text-decoration-style: initial; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px;"><span style="font-family: "Cambria",serif; font-size: 12.0pt;">‘Bluesg’ is not without criticism. The
downside to this service includes long wait times for cars during the morning
rush hours, and vice versa during the evening hours since the cars have been
taken up by commuters to get to work. The destination of a user may not be
close to a charging station, taking a taxi or grab might be a cheaper
alternative. The balance between installing new charging stations in the
heartland and common work areas or other popular destinations is a hard
challenge for ‘Bluesg’ and the government as not all carpark locations are
managed by JTC or Capitaland. There is also the fact that Bollare Group has
withdrawn their service from three cities in the past two years. Paris, (their
home ground!) being the first to go. So, whether Bollare Group will continue to
direct resources in tiny Singapore to expand their services remains to be seen.

coincide with my opinion that with concerted efforts from the government and
‘Bollare Group’, ‘Bluesg’ will continue to grow in Singapore as it is a great alternative
to owning a car.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

provided by a network of charging stations for its EV (Electric Vehicles), where
they can be returned and borrowed by the next patron. The Bluesg electric
vehicles are equipped with high-quality Lithium Metal Polymer (LMP) batteries
which can carry the car and its passengers for almost 200km in a single charge.
The LMP batteries consists of thin films of materials, holding the high-density
charges while still being safe for consumer use. Another feature of the
batteries is that they are completely pollution free and can be reused or
recycled at the end of their lives. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; margin-bottom: 6.0pt;"><span style="font-family: "Cambria",serif; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%;">‘Bluesg’
is a new company setup by their French parent company Bollore Group to solve
the short-term car rental service problem faced by Singaporeans. Before their
entry to the market, often people must endure the packaged car rental service
provided by traditional car rental services, which is to rent the car for the
entire weekend even though they might only need it for a short period. The main
attraction of this service is that high quality rental cars can be picked up
from and returned at any nearby charging stations across its ever-growing, nation-wide
network of charging stations. The ‘Bluecars’ Bluesg provide are equipped with their
Unique LMP (Lithium Metal Polymer) Batteries which are fully recyclable and manufactured
by Bollore Group. (Bluesg.com.sg, 2020) These long-lasting batteries allow the car
to travel for up to 200km on a single charge. The ‘Bluecar’’s on-board computer
handles GPS navigation, user interface for simple controls (changing radio stations,
carpark reservation) and system status reporting to server. (remaining mileage,
battery temperature, system errors, etc.) ‘Bluecar’ did not neglect the safety
of its passengers despite the comfort and spacious interior. There is ABS braking
system for rainy weather, airbags for the front two passengers, power-steering
and sensors to provide audible warning to pedestrians. The backseats can be
folded down for more storage, and they are ISOFIX compatible for child-seats to
be mounted. In case of breakdown or emergency, there is a ‘BLUE’ button to connect
to the ‘Bluesg’’s call-centre via the communication system in the car to get
assistance. This simple but feature-packed electric car gives patrons the
confidence they needed. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; margin-bottom: 6.0pt;"><span style="font-family: "Cambria",serif; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%;">In recent
experiences, I have found the service to be extremely convenient and reliable when
I need to perform several errands in a jiffy. There is a charging station near my
home, which allows me to book my “Bluecar” and I was on the road in under
10mins. When I parked my car, the car status did not change to “parking” in the
app. However, the issue was settled quickly by calling the ‘Bluesg’ call-centre
and their friendly and helpful customer service agent was patient in resolving my
case. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; margin-bottom: 6.0pt;"><span style="font-family: "Cambria",serif; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%;">Besides
providing car rental service, ‘Bluesg’ also started allowing private electric
car owners to recharge their cars at their charging stations. (Neo, 2019) This
is encouraging to electric car owners since it is easier to look for charging
stations now. The rapid increase in subscribers in recent years has led to the
one millionth rental service in August this year. (Straits Times, 2020) This means
that ‘Bluesg’ is heading in the right direction and will likely see even more
users in the upcoming years, as more prospective car owners will look to
greener and more affordable solutions than owning a car can get quite costly in
Singapore. It makes more sense to rent short term whenever the need arises. Over
the years, ‘Bluesg’ has revised its price plans and features in its car-rental
app. Their basic plan is as low as $8 per month without usage limit, and other
premium plans that include 45minutes of usage. ‘Queue-pop’ feature in the app will
place the user in a virtual queue when either a car or parking space is not
available. The user will be notified when one becomes available, reliving much
stress from the user.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; margin-bottom: 6.0pt;"><span style="font-family: "Cambria",serif; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%;">‘Bluesg’ is
not without criticism. The downside to this service includes long wait times
for cars during the morning rush hours, and vice versa during the evening hours
since the cars have been taken up by commuters to get to work. The destination
of a user may not be close to a charging station, taking a taxi or grab might
be a cheaper alternative in these cases. The balance between installing new
charging stations in the heartland and common work areas or other popular
destinations is a hard challenge for ‘Bluesg’ and the government as not all carpark
locations are managed by JTC or Capitaland. There is also the fact that Bollare
Group has withdrawn their service from three cities in the past two years. Paris,
(their home ground!) being the first to go. So whether Bollare Group will
continue to direct resources in tiny Singapore to expand their services still
remains to be seen.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; margin-bottom: 6.0pt;"><span style="font-family: "Cambria",serif; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%;">In
general I still believe with concerted efforts from the government and ‘Bollare
Group’, ‘Bluesg’ will continue to grow in Singapore.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; margin-bottom: 6.0pt;"><span style="font-family: "Cambria",serif; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%;"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: "Cambria",serif;"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: "Cambria",serif;">I am
writing to you regarding an introduction of myself. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: "Cambria",serif;">I
started my education journey in Singapore at ITE, Institute of Technology
Education in Tampines. It was an inspiring place with lecturers who also
graduated from ITE and became an educator. During that time, I was awarded two
Lee Kuan yew Awards for my final year project and being a model student. It
really boosted my self confidence for the years ahead. After graduation I
joined the work force. While working, I took driving lessons in the morning before
work, and studied for my diploma at the Singapore Polytechnic in the evenings.
After getting my diploma, I started my own family. Years later, I finally found
the opportunity to further my studies at the Singapore Institute of Technology.
<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: "Cambria",serif;">My work
involved projects for fire detection systems and equipment which were supplied
to major shipbuilders in Singapore and the ASEAN region. My interest stem from
designing system drawings and circuits, as well as maintaining the systems on
the vessels we have supplied in the past. It gave me great satisfaction to be
involved in projects that went on to gain reputation worldwide. For instance,
Keppel Singmarine built two icebreaker supply vessels for LUKOIL of Russia. The
first of its kind built in the tropics of Asia. And my company supplied several
firefighting systems for these vessels, which must remain operational under
harsh conditions of minus 45 degrees Celsius. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: "Cambria",serif;">One of
my communication strengths lies in my versatility. I am comfortable striking up
casual conversation with people from different race and cultural backgrounds.
Perhaps this is the result of working in other countries where communication is
vital for survival when English is not the main language. My weakness is in
public speaking. Whenever this situation occurs, I start sweating from my head
to my palms. I guess only through enough practice and counselling, I can
overcome it.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: "Cambria",serif;">To
survive through my university education, I figured that: <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: "Cambria",serif;">1. I
must be able to communicate and collaborate with my peers who are half my age.
The generation gap is real. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: "Cambria",serif;">2. I
must have effective communication with my lecturers so that their knowledge can
be utilized most effectively in my work during my education. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: "Cambria",serif;">I look
forward to attending to your lectures in this trimester.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

Last time it was at 2004 Institute of Technology Education. But this time it was the shit. The uni experience i owe myself since young. It's crazy i am doing uni at this age. Most people will say their brain already too old for this and give up. But i'm not most people, at least i'd like to think so. i'm prepared to make it a great experience this time like the last time at another institute. the admissions department want to feature me in next year's intake and out reach program. wtf lol... must have been my age doing this crazy stunt. relearning C programming, ohms and khirchoff's law, integration, laplace transform....this is really crazy. beyond any of my imagination. but i made it to uni finally! didn't think i'd get picked to be among the 63 others in TLM. 3years. i have to make it.</p><p>Strange that blogger is still not dead. For technical communication module, i have to start a blog. the first suggestion in the instruction unit was blogger. and here i am. again.</p><p>week 2 just started and the workload is piling up. deep breath. gritted teeth. carry on.</p><p>Ron's 2nd child is borned and it's a boy. good for him. </p><div class="blogger-post-footer">BLACKSHEEP said. oh but it was just a dream.<br />
when is that "soon"?<br />
I sure hope it's really soon.<div class="blogger-post-footer">BLACKSHEEP said. Meeeeeeeeeeeh!</div>BlacktheSheephttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00261285570402508875noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19103073.post-51077102610173462852012-07-23T23:54:00.002+08:002012-07-23T23:54:27.600+08:00Blacksheep papai've become a DAD.<br />
<br />
what a powerful word.<br />
for someone like me who likes stability, it's already quite a disaster.<br />
it's like an atomic bomb going off in the middle of my shower.<br />
if not the long gestation period in mommy's tummy, little baby tiara would deal much more damage to me than ever.<br />
<br />
ever since whitesheep is pregnant, we've tried to come up with a schedule of how to live our life.<br />
what to do before going to work every morning. what we would do when i come home.<br />
we thought, well at least i thought our schedule sort of worked, when everyone is "happy", at least hypothetically, even for someone who isn't easily satisfied or becomes unhappy pretty easily.<br />
even peaceful times are more common back then.<br />
since the little bundle of joy has arrived there are much more things to be "unhappy" about.<br />
my "alone time" has become less. making me wanting even more.<br />
with my workload increasing steadily after a colleague has left and house chores increasing ten fold, it's harder to find time for myself.<br />
even less so if she's unhappy.<br />
seems like she has nothing she likes doing besides swiping on that ipad these days.<br />
now that she's back to work she has more excuse of being tired and moody and gloomy.<br />
doesn't want to do anything, luckily besides taking care of tiara.<br />
if asked why she is always grumpy and gloomy, she would accuse me of neglecting her.<br />
oh that's why.<br />
it's so easy to accuse me of sitting in front of the pc instead of doing __________.<br />
how it has ruined my life, this computer addiction.<br />
and it doesn't have to be games. but mostly it is.<br />
what am i to do? is there a support group for computer addicts?<br />
wow i just love to type on this new razer ultimate black widow stealth edition man, love to type it like i've never typed before.<br />
<br />
what worsens the situation is online competitive games.<br />
so hard to play those now. every now and then i'm needed by tiara's side to tend to her cries.<br />
why does she cry so much anyways? her attention seeking trait must be from her mother.<br />
now a days she just cry at her max volume instead of the earlier progressive crying until someone tends to her needs.<br />
eh but a baby is a baby right?<br />
<br />
hey but being a dad supposedly eliminates any thoughts in a person that makes him naive, and makes the person more matured right? but i hardly think so.<br />
could it be something else?<br />
heard before also the more relationship one has under his belt, the more matured the person.<br />
is that even true?<br />
i have 0% chance of finding out now that i'm in this hole.<br />
<br />
lemme see, what do i want to type some more?<br />
a free flow of thoughts firing like a machine gun<br />
clickety clack on my new keyboard.<br />
that's the sound right now.<br />
loving it.<br />
even if it's nonsensical nonsense and jiberish jab.<br />
<br />
whatever, this blog is self serving anyways.<br />
i am my own king!<br />
<br />
wonder what's the next episode entails.<br />
at least amid the gloominess in the house there's news to celebrate.<br />
ah ka is leaving for nyc this 1/8.<br />
so happy for her. really.<br />
she's living her dream.<br />
what would it be like to have a dream and achieve it.<br />
why can't i do that.<br />
i've been so burned out since LKY i'm like a over-cooked turkey.<br />
still left in the oven.<br />
how i wish i was just a normal guy back then and saved all my energy just so i can unleash it now.<br />
to shine like a bright star now would prove to be so much more better than to have a meaningless LKY and never continue on the path of full time education.<br />
<br />
ahhh that path.<br />
i felt ever so slightly jealous when ah ka was showing me her newly laminated CPA cert and the rest of her Uni cert, JC cert and transcripts.<br />
and dad was always telling everyone that he owes me a big deal being unable to let me continue my studies. what's the use of saying this now?<br />
seriously i wouldn't feel any better now that i'm in this hole.<br />
and he can't see me from that hole he's stuck in over there.<br />
getting himself involved in these thing is his own karma.<br />
<br />
it's interesting that the case with dry dock worlds is developing in to a court trial.<br />
although they are not directly suing us, not yet, but defending against them is quite taxing and slowing down my own work quite a bit.<br />
after that meeting with MOM proved to be more tiresome than first thought.<br />
there's even a possibility dry dock would sue us to recover their cost if they were to win this one against MOM. all they have to do is to cast a doubt on our system having the slightest possibility of failing at some point, (which most systems do, you can find fault with any system however small) they win. MOM can't charge them with the criminal charges of killing two and 20+ injured, and they have all the ammo to run their steamroller over us.<br />
we are just small fry.<br />
<br />
which is just the way the bosses wanted it to be.<br />
seriously, should i change my job?<br />
there seems to be jobs out there waiting for me.<br />
just like marrying my first girlfriend, for that i can't venture out anymore, but for my job i can.<br />
however i have to leave my comfort zone of 8yrs and counting.<br />
what's it going to be like?<br />
important thing is i like stability, since i have absolutely no backup.<br />
nobody in this world can help me in my struggles.<br />
on top of that all i have are burdens.<br />
things that pull me back. including my own character of preferring to stay the same.<br />
but deep in my heart i love adventure.<br />
why i don't have a partner that loves the same.<br />
it would be a much more interesting life.<br />
but anyone could say that my life is not over, and i'm still young, i can still make changes.<br />
all these talk are just what they are, talk.<br />
in the end, i'm the only one that can pick up the sword.<br />
<br />
should i start writing?<br />
let's see what should i write.<br />
came across a self help book at popoular about all turning points fall on a thursday.<br />
seems interesting, but expensive for a book that only has an interesting cover.<br />
i haven't got to even the second page when i notice her impatience.<br />
patience is a rare commodity for her now it seems.<br />
seldom can she stand the shit that i used to do or my stupidity, now that tiara is in the picture.<br />
<br />
and mango is my good friend.<br />
have always liked to eat it. fresh mango, dried mango.<br />
best served cold.<br />
but recently i fell ill to cold and the doctor downstairs knew that i have a sensitive nose and told me to avoid mango!<br />
what?!<br />
this cannot be!<br />
so i kept eating dried mangoes to test his "theory".<br />
actually i'm testing my own body.<br />
still sick and having a semi blocked right nose.<br />
green goo is oozing from it and some of it getting dried in the nostril.<br />
damn... i don't fall sick normally. WTH...<br />
<br />
and that's it for now.<br />
just now i went in to play with tiara and whitesheep seems to have lightened up and joined in the fun a bit.<br />
the ambient is less moody now.<br />
i might even try to play a couple rounds of max payne 3 death match.<br />
um... it's 12 midnight now.<br />
TCM theory says to preserve the body, now is the time to sleep, even for 20mins.<br />
have never tried that before since i sleep everyday way past midnight.<br />
hai... life is short, right?<br />
<br />

I was in school. not really sure which one.<br />
It's the first day of school. i was in a prep room or something.<br />
As usual i was late and sort of panicking.<br />
I didn't bring my textbooks too.<br />
But i was dazing and day dreaming. wondering why a grown man is in his uniform.<br />
Am i given a second chance?<br />
<br />
Strangely, Teng Teng is making me coffee and Tim Tim is kinda getting my books.<br />
They are talking to me but i cant hear what they are saying.<br />
This place feels exciting as i cant wait to see my new classmates.<br />
Will i see my primary school friends? or friends from SSC?<br />
Both are just as enticing.<br />
I was still day dreaming and looking at the swirling hot water in the kettle and the color of the coffee as the spoon slowly stirring in the cup when the school bell rang.<br />
Why am i still in the prep room being so calm when i'm clearly late is puzzling.<br />
Dreams do not make sense anyway.<br />
<br />
Finally i got on my feet and got my textbooks and started for the classroom.<br />
I met 郭老師 on my way and asked her if she's my form teacher after we greeted each other happily and clearly in surprise how we can meet this way.<br />
Haha how funny. she could well be retired by now.<br />
<br />
As i pushed open the door to my classroom, i hear birds chirping and can feel the warmth of the sun.<br />
I think it's summer in HK.<br />
The school bells rang again, this time fading to a beep beep beep sound.<br />
I woke to the morning alarm clock and a slowing waking Tiara.<br />
Wanted so much to return to sleep, but i'm late for work. Again.<br />
<br />
I started for the toilet.<br />

took over from ah liow, ah neo's boss.<br />
700 is a good price for a 1yr old 1400 bike.<br />
it feels like a hybrid, seated upright like a mountain bike, but it has the thin wheels of a road bike.<br />
ofcos, it can only ride on roads then. it doesnt have shock absorbers too.<br />
what it has is an internal hub gear, where all the gears are inside a cylinder, so it's maintenance free and the gears are safely protected from weather.<br />
the front wheel has an internal dynamo as well, it doesn't give the wheels more drag when traveling. The halogen lamp is very bright.<br />
all the gear system, shifters, switch-gears are from shimano.<br />
wheels are double walled from maxxis.<br />
Fork is the only part carbon fibre.<br />
everything looks good, except there are some minor damage from falling before.<br />
also i heard some sounds coming from the rear wheel or the internal hub gear the first time i brought it home.<br />
it sounds like a ball bearing or a nut rolling against metal.<br />
when the rear wheel moves, the sound will start.<br />
when the wheel stops, the sound will continue for a while, as though pushed by momentum until it settles at the bottom.<br />
i brought the bike for a checkup at rodalink upp thompson. but since the bike wasn't bought from there and the staff seemed busy repairing another bike and it's about 7pm, near to their closing hour 8pm, so they didn't do much checking on the bike. they tested the brakes and shifters as well as the wheels.<br />
but the staff said he doesn't know how to open the internal hub gear system.<br />
he doubts the staff at upp east coast rd branch will know either.<br />
hmmm... but then, the sound disappeared by the time i reach the shop. maybe transporting it side ways in the van made the sound disappear. for watever it was, it didn't occur again.<br />
i rode on it for 12km and about 20mins, nothing seems to be the problem. the sound didn't reappear. the ride is smooth, except that i can't seem to hit gear 7 or 8 as i can't really push the bike harder with my current stamina. need to train more.<br />
since the sound disappeared, i think it's safe to buy it off ah liow. it was very nice of him to lend me the bike to try out a couple days before i even paid him anything. visited his penth house at upp east coast rd too. luxurious and spacious. he even owns the rooftop he used as a garden and fish pond. what if one day i can make this much to own a place like this?<br />
he likes bruce lee, had some collections and figures i took some pictures of. bruce looks like the real thing in my phone.<br />
heading off to yishun dam tonight. and might investigate those ufo flying above the sky nearby. might be released from park near yishun centre. can i go there?<br />
and i should start getting bike gears! cycling computer first. USD so low, great time to buy from dealextreme.<div class="blogger-post-footer">BLACKSHEEP said. looking at the clock to check the time every 5mins, but still just wasting time, and yet feel that time is not enough all the time?<br />
while doing the usual stupid little things, the body will send signals sometimes to warn me to get off my chair and do something meaningful. but i'll just shut it down like the noisy alarm clock in the morning.<br />
what is wrong with me<br />
am i tired of living cos everything sucks and i don't feel needed<br />
is there a source of this pool of sadness<br />
do i need to get out of here, find a place where nobody knows me and start all over?<div class="blogger-post-footer">BLACKSHEEP said. Many has happened around myself and the small world around me.<br />
Life has been more or less the same and there're the usual ups and downs.<br />
Feeling kinda down lately, friends have grown apart, family having problem at home.<br />
But i thought maybe i'd blog again, to have a little outlet to shout out at.<br />
Also since i've teamed up with dom on a little venture on a blogging business.<br />
Yes it's not yet a business, but we've gotta start somewhere.<br />
Pro-blogging takes time and a bit of luck for others to read and pick up on our blog.<br />
We decided to start with gadgets from all around the world.<br />
Been watching a lot of Southpark, going through all seasons everyday at work or at home.<br />
Gaming life revolves around League of Legends, Crysis 2 and Duke Nukem Forever.<br />
My Aquarium is thriving with about 30 Tigerbarbs. 10 Zebra-stripe, 10 Blue, 10 orange.<br />
Watching them swim around the tank calms me. Especially when they swim around the top of the tank waiting for me to feed them everytime i come close to the tank.<br />
Also i've 2 prawns in a separate tank.<br />
One of them has just shed its shell to grow bigger.<br />
The white shell looks very much like Aliens' exoskeleton, slimy, smooth and full of goo.<br />
Keeping these little pets are really interesting.<br />
Not as troublesome as a dog/cat, and yet can have the satisfaction of having some life at home apart from plants.<br />
For some reason i can't upload pics here with the "insert image" function. it only lets me upload but the pics doesn't appear. CRAP!<br />
About time i stop to go play some games.<br />
Gotta meet dom later online to show each other the posts we wrote. Also go to the BBQ with Lui2's colleagues. Wonder what are they like. Are they as dao as normal singaporeans are?<div class="blogger-post-footer">BLACKSHEEP said. Liberally sprinkle salt (preferably sea or kosher salt) and pepper over one side and rub in well, using either your fingertips or the back of a spoon. Turn meat over and repeat on the other side. </li><li>Pour some cooking oil into a frying pan and heat up to medium/medium high heat. When the oil is just about smoking (hot), put meat into pan, being careful not to crowd the steak so as to develop a flavorful crust (if you crowd the steak it will steam, not sear). You should hear a sizable sizzle. </li><li>After a few minutes, check the underside of the steak to see how the sear is developing. You are looking for a deep, brown/mahogany crust. Adjust the heat as necessary to avoid charring or overcooking the meat - you do not want to heat it too long or it will become dry. </li><li>When well seared, flip the meat and wait a few more minutes, depending on the thickness of your cut and how long the sear took to develop. Remove the pan from the heat, add a good chunk of butter and (optionally) some sprigs of thyme and rosemary. Another great way to add flavor is to make a brush out of the twiggy herbs and use it to slowly 'paint' the meat a few times with the butter and the pan juices. Often we see professional chefs 'basting' the flipped meat by spooning the hot oils onto it over and over. This can help develop a deeper top crust, but be careful not to splash the hot oils. </li><li>Remove from the heat when just under-done and WAIT 5-10 MINUTES. The residual heat of the steak will cook it to medium-rare perfection. Put aluminum foil over the meat to prevent heat loss, but always let the meat rest so the juices have a chance to settle in the steak. Consume. </li><li>You notice there are brown bits left in the pan (you used a stainless steel pan right?). You can make a sauce out of them by deglazing the pan with wine or stock and adding flavorings such as butter, herbs, shallot or garlic. This is known as a pan sauce. </li></ol> <a name="Warnings"></a><h2> Warnings </h2> <ul><li>This technique produces an extremely well-done steak when the meat is less than one inch thick. Even changing the time of the second section to three minutes on each side may overcook your meat. For steaks that are about 1 inch thick, try reducing the time of the second section to two minutes on each side if you want a rare to medium rare steak. </li><li>Many steak eaters do not prefer their steak well-done. If you are cooking for someone else, please check with them for their doneness preference <b>before</b> cooking your meat in this fashion. There are other ways to pan-fry a steak, leave it flavorful, and medium-rare to medium-well done. </li></ul> <a name="Things_You.27ll_Need"></a><h2> Things You'll Need </h2> <ul><li>A fork and a knife. </li><li>A healthy appetite can be added for extra enjoyment. </li></ul> <a name="Related_wikiHows"></a><h2> Related wikiHows </h2> <ul><li><a href="/Marinate-a-Steak" title="Marinate a Steak">How to Marinate a Steak</a> </li><li><a href="/Cook-a-Perfect-Filet-Mignon" class="mw-redirect" title="Cook a Perfect Filet Mignon">How to Cook a Perfect Filet Mignon</a> </li><li><a href="/Grill-Steak" title="Grill Steak">How to Grill Steak</a> </li><li><a href="/Make-Orange-Citrus-Steak-Sauce" title="Make Orange Citrus Steak Sauce">How to Make Orange Citrus Steak Sauce</a> </li><li><a href="/Make-Delicious-Swiss-Steak" title="Make Delicious Swiss Steak">How to Make Delicious Swiss Steak</a> </li><li><a href="/Make-Low-Calorie-Cole-Slaw" title="Make Low Calorie Cole Slaw">How to Make Low Calorie Cole Slaw</a> </li><li><a href="/Make-Artichoke-Dip" title="Make Artichoke Dip">How to Make Artichoke Dip</a> </li><li><a href="/Make-Your-Own-Beef-Jerky" class="mw-redirect" title="Make Your Own Beef Jerky">How to Make Your Own Beef Jerky</a> </li><li><a href="/Make-Homemade-Sweet-Ham" title="Make Homemade Sweet Ham">How to Make Homemade Sweet Ham</a> </li><li><a href="/Cook-Steak-in-Peppercorn-Sauce" title="Cook Steak in Peppercorn Sauce">How to Cook Steak in Peppercorn Sauce</a> </li><li><a href="/Make-Vodka-Sauce" title="Make Vodka Sauce">How to Make Vodka Sauce</a> </li><li><a href="/Braise-Beef" title="Braise Beef">How to Braise Beef</a> </li></ul> <p> <i>Article provided by <a href="http://www.wikihow.com/Main-Page">wikiHow</a>, a wiki how-to manual.
